Misson

My mission is to help you identify what is most important to you and to help you strengthen or express that more fully. I strive to help clients find their best selves which, in turn, helps them to feel more purposeful and more deeply connected to themselves, the people they love and their world.

Approach

I have been a psychotherapist for the past 15 years. I incorporate various holistic interventions (yoga, meditation, creative visualizations, breath work) with clients to help them connect to their most meaningful and purposeful life. I am able to meet clients where they are at while helping them to feel heard and safe. My clients and I create a plan to support their healing and growth both within sessions and in between sessions. I often offer homework between sessions for clients to consistently feel like they are moving towards their life goals. Results may include better coping skills and stress reduction; improved connection with mind and body; overall life and relationship satisfaction; trauma, codependency and addiction recovery strategies.

Training

I am a Licensed Master Independent Social Worker. I earned my Masters Degree from the University of Iowa in 2006 and have been consistently working with children, families and adults since that time.    I am a certified trauma informed yoga instructor. Additionally I am trained in EMDR and I hold a certification in the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.  I have a certification in Sexuality studies and I am currently pursuing advanced training in Sex Therapy.
